I received an inquiry this week from a couple having a backyard wedding in Barrington. It reminded me of one of my favorite weddings Nimble Well has been a part of. The bride, Ester contacted me and told me that their wedding theme was "Nashcago," a mash-up of Nashville and Chicago--two places that were important to her and her fiancé Matt. I am pretty curious when in comes to people sharing their wedding ideas, but I admit that I didn't entirely understand how it was all going to come together. I was completely blown away. Their wedding was elegant and earthy, and from the photos you can see that it was a total blast.
The wedding was at the home of their family friends who had a huge lawn for the reception tent and dance floor and a beautiful tiled garden with a reflecting pool/koi pond and wooded area for their ceremony. Before Nimble Well was entirely focused on tabletop rentals, I got pretty ambitious with some larger pieces. The largest (and heaviest) was the reclaimed lath board wall. Ester and Matt rented it to be the background for their ceremony, and I absolutely loved the contrast of the earthiness of the wall with the elegance of the setting.
They rented the vintage bottle collection for their lovely table florals, and wood crates for their dessert table. The whole wedding was featured on Green Wedding Shoes and I can't say enough sweet things about their photographers, the husband and wife team of Brad and Jen of Q Avenue Photo. They are based out of Nashville, but travel all over.
