I was a vendor at the Summer Indie Wed expo and it was well worth it to haul a couple tubs of vintage cake stands over to the Zhou B Art Center to meet with couples just beginning their wedding planning process. Sarah Burrows from Plate: vintage crockery rental & rescue shared a table. We used her vintage china and my cake stands and tiered trays to show an inspiration set-up for a glam garden party-style wedding.
We had hundreds of chocolate & salted caramel and lemon curd & raspberry cupcakes from Elysia Root Cakes and beautiful flowers from Larkspur on Chicago Farm Tables' big gray Elmwood table. There were many, many great vendors and I felt particularly lucky we were across from Birchwood Kitchen (cucucumber cups with cashew butter and grilled vegetables), and got some great empanadas with pico de gallo from the the luchador-masked chefs of Tamale Spaceship.
