The idea for this table was a modern still life. The five gallon drink dispenser felt like an opportunity to bring it together. I froze kumquats, limes, pomegranates, papaya, passion fruit, and edible flowers to put inside, like a large bubble display case. Lisa Beth Anderson took all the pictures of the tablescapes, including the ones here and I love how she captured the light. It's exactly what I imagine when I think of the light in a still life.
I love this picture of my mom frosting the cupcakes. She's always supported everything I do. When I thanked her for doing all the frosting she said that growing up on a farm she didn't get to frost anything very often, and had to fight her sister to do it, so now she really enjoys it.
